In World War II, children frequently fought in insurrections in both the Allied and Axis forces.
In World War II, the youngest member of the United States military was 12-year-old Calvin Graham. The legality relating to the use of children in armed conflicts, as soldiers or in other capacities, has changed significantly in the last century.
